Antibiotics V’s Natural Remedy
ANTIBIOTICS v’s NATURAL REMEDY
A few weeks ago Bonnie had a chest infection, with a temperature of 41.6 and vomiting. She slept for almost 4 days. It was extremely worrying.
I did take her to the doctors and was prescribed antibiotics. However she refused to take them (we tried many different ways)
I didn’t give her any calpol as I know a temperature is the body’s way of fighting infection. She was refusing to eat or drink, but thankfully was still taking small amounts of breast milk. So I made her comfortable and kept on breastfeeding, with lots of skin to skin contact to help regulate her temperature.

I was worried about her not taking the antibiotics as I know that infections can lead to more serious illness’s. However I also know that antibiotics are becoming resistant and if we can avoid taking them it is better for the immune system.

So I needed to find something else to help her, so I started using OREGANO essential oil mixed with FCO. Rubbing it on her chest, feet and back every 30 minutes. Oregano EO is a natural antibiotic and the carvacrol that it contains helps fight bacteria.....and it absolutely worked!
The weather was warmer, so I stripped her off and she slept in the pushchair in the garden to for the much needed Vitamin D to help her body repair.
Along with homeopathic remedy’s and the essential oils, she got better and we did not have to resort to using antibiotics.
Essential oils are amazing!
