I made an Android app for people who set multiple alarms to wake up
I know there are a lot of people who set 5 or more alarms, with 5 minutes between them, to be sure they wake up. I do that too, because when only setting one alarm I often click dismiss instead of snooze and then I get too late to college.
It's a hassle to set 5 alarms by clicking 5 times 'add a new alarm' and keep choosing a time for 5 times. That's why I decided to make an app that does this with just one click.
Within the app you can customize how many alarms you want and what the time difference between these alarms should be. There is also a smart setting which chooses the time difference for you.
The app also offer a timer, stopwatch, themes(for OLED) and a variety of settings.
This is my first app I ever built on Android. Because the Android framework was new and complicated to me, I decided to use an open source app and modify it to my liking. I forked ClockPlus for that. The app itself is written completely in Java.
I learned a lot of stuff while developing this app. I actually first started from scratch, but I hit a lot of problems and decided to use existing code. Thanks to hitting those problems and seeing a good solution, I learned how a decent Android app should be built like. Some nice brand manager also gave me good advice to edit the icon of the app for better looks and recognition.
I already got very positive feedback, and I'm very happy that this app is helping a lot of people in their everyday life.
Feel free to ask any questions. I'd also like to hear some feedback.
