It is really a great app, I had to update the review since the link to the post I was referring to did not work (error in the link); Also the update feature of SteemWrite works flawless!

I use a simple text editor to write my posts: Geany - http://www.geany.org
I prefer to format the layout using the Markdown syntax instead of using a WYSIWYG editor.

SteemWrite allows Markdown syntax as well. I'll check out Geany as well; Does it has a direct posting facility onto the Steem blockchain?
