RE: I work Saturdays, so it’s not the same, but even still, I can’t help but think today, ...
Dear @boxcarblue
It's me again.
Please allow me to briefly tell you about my community project. This will be a slightly long reply and I hope you will stay with me for next few minutes :) Ok, let's get to the point:
I'm doing my best to build a strong community here on Steemit and I'm supporting a number of beginners. Especially those who create quality content about blockchain and crypto.
At the end of last year I've organized quite a succesful campaign:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@crypto.piotr/boosting-crypto-community-engagement-on-steemit-plus-small-announcement-regarding-delegation-of-3400sp
The idea was to support those who write about crypto and blockchain and struggle with low RC. I was approached by over 130 people, out of which I supported over 80 of them with a small delegation (40-80SP each of of them).
You could check all my delegations here: http://www.steemreports.com/delegation-info/?account=crypto.piotr
The idea behind my non-profilt project is simple:
I don't want to build another community around monetary/financial rewards. I don't think it's the right way. Instead Im helping those who are active but still struggle with building engagement. Im supporting their content with valuable comments, upvotes and mostly by bringing traffic to their accounts and teaching them importance of engagement and being responsive towards the others.
The fact that one of my latest posts reached over 800 comments proves that this strategy works. After all, most new steemit users, without receiving rewards for their work and without any exposure are giving up quickly. So Im reaching out to some of them before they give up on Steemit and I would love you to become part of this as well.
Please let me know what you think. I'm doing my best to be very transparent with my actions and intentions.
SUMMARY:
Could you perhaps consider also delegating 100 SP or delegating 200 SP or just one 1 SP (literally one) as a gesture of support? I hope you will would be keen on supporting my efforts.
Yours
Piotr
I’m interested in contributing to your community building efforts. It’s something that I think is important but don’t put time into doing myself. Rather than delegate to you, though, I would prefer to do the delegating myself. That way I would stay more involved with what is happening and more aware of the content that is being supported. I would also remain more responsible for the Steem that I am holding. Perhaps you could send me a list of creators who you would like to delegate to and I could then follow your directions as to how much and for how long and send them delegations from my account. I’d be willing to contribute 1,000 Steem in that format, maybe more if your community gets big enough to warrant more Steem. You can message me in Discord if you like. We can figure things out there (or here).
Dear @boxcarblue
That would be excellent. Such a great news. You managed to put a huge smile on my face just now. THX :)
How could we proceed so it would be convenient for you? Perhaps I could provide you with list of accounts Im supporting (around 70-80 accounts) and you could delegate 10-20 SP to those who you would consider worth helping?
All those people are very active and supportive towards others, but majority of them are from Venezuela or other 3rd word countries and Powering Up for many of them is financially not possible.
That would be excellent. Would you like me to prepare it in excel file or just copy paste list right here?
Im very new to Discord and I just tried to find you but I failed. It seem that I need to know your 4 digit ID number. My profile: crypto.piotr#3426
Would you perhaps use email? If you do then please drop me a message: [email protected]

I sent you a friend request on Discord.
Do you want to grow the number of people you are supporting, or do you want give bigger delegations to the people you are supporting? My impression was that you were only delegating to them for six to eight weeks at a time to help them build enough Steem power and RCs to post, comment, and vote, etc on a regular basis. If they can’t afford to power up than they will never become self sufficient. Do you think that is a problem?
Dear @boxcarblue
Such a good question. My strategy for past first 6 months since I joined was to build a core of followers. Another 6 months I focused on rapid expansion and getting to know people. Currently Im planning to invest upcoming half year in strengtening currently build community.
What does it actually mean?
I will focus on supporting those 80 Steemians but at the same time whenever I meet someone new who share similar passion towards blockchain / crypto etc. then I will also try to help and bring him into our community.
You had indeed good impression. My initial intentions were to delegate only 800 SP for 6 weeks. I ended up delegating 3500SP for period much longer than that. Currently my plan is to extend delegations of those who are active and supportive until end of April 2019. And once April will come then I will think what to do next.
In meantime I'm slowly trying to secure additional support for them. @majes.tytyty and @devann delegated total 3000SP to them already (10-15SP per person). I hope that until april I will be able to help all those people to secure at least 100SP in delegation from different people.
This way Im creating emotional connection between number of people, who share similar interests. Connection build on supporting each other and giving/receiving. That's my idea for healthy community.
Please let me know if it all made sense ;)

Piotr
That makes sense. Send me a list of the people you support, and I’ll help you with your mission. As it develops, we can keep in touch. As I think I’ve said, I’m not very active here these days. I’ve been gradually deciding to focus my time on other things. I would like to do what I can, though, to help the community(ies) here. Since you have the time to invest, I’m happy to delegate some of the SP I’ve acquired to your efforts.
Dear @boxcarblue
Thank you for adding me on Discord. I'm more email kind of guy but I've learned already that most people seem to prefer Discord. Gotta adapt :)
Would you rather like me to reply to all your questions here or on Discord?

Piotr
@crypto.poitr
I'm so happy you considered me for this delegation again. But I would say that comsider some new members(not saying for everyone but replace my name with some other steemian.)
Reason: The amount of SP I have at this time is enough for me and I'm able to participate in steemmonster and also able to comment wherever I want. So, it's enough for me(Thanks to you). That's why I'm saying add a new steemian instead of me so that more people will get help. It will encourage even one extra person. On the other hand, the community you have made will be increased by one member.
It's just a suggestion from my side to help other. Because I've got help from people like you that's why it's my duty now to help others.
Once again thanks for considering me here. 💖💖💖

Dear @numanbutt
I will keep it in mind my dear friend :)
It's a good suggestion. The only thing is that Im trying to take care about entire group of 80 people at the same time and it's hard to notice who need more support and who doesnt.
I've noticed that you didn't post anything in a long while. hope you're still around and active?
ps.
Good fiend of mine posted lately interesting publication: "Bitcoin was NOT in a bubble ...". I got to know him personally and Im doing my best to help him get some exposure and promote his quality work.
Perhaps you could show your support and drop some valuable comment? :) I would appreciate.
