Google launches a "light" version of the search application on Android for slow communication
Google is finally testing the Lite version of its search application on the Android operating system, targeting countries where the Internet connection is weak and not always available.
Google has posted an ad on the social networking site Facebook in Indonesia inviting users to test a new application, so users who have chosen to experiment with the application will receive a link to a new application called Search Lite.
The Search Lite application shows that it aims to make Google search faster and more convenient for data packets in some markets by working on slow connections and supporting features that do not require an Internet connection, using less data, thus taking far less time to finish tasks.
The size of the application, first monitored by Android Police, is expected to be small, so as not to consume much of the storage space of the mobile device, and it will not require more RAM to operate. As appropriate.
In addition to these features, Search Lite makes it easy to access various tasks. It allows users to switch between languages by dragging sideways on their homepage, and then provides a set of icons for quick access to some functions besides search, such as news, translation, and weather , Cricket scores, food recipes, movies, songs, and more.
Just like the normal Google Search application, Search Lite can perform text or voice searches, but the search bar is more easily accessible at the bottom of the screen and only displays suggested keyword extensions above when performing a search.
App settings allow users to shorten results to get light web pages and force the app to use the internal browser instead of opening the pages through the default browser on the device. This is still the app that shows "Experimental" meaning that the company may modify it a lot before launching the final version of it.
"Search Lite" is not the first application by Google aimed at people with weak communications from users, as it has launched a "light" version of the video application YouTube, under the name of "Youtube Go". Other companies, such as Facebook and Twitter, have released "light" versions of their applications.
The new "Search Lite" application is available only through the Indonesia version
