Spanish media have been alarmed by what they saw as an unprecedented rise in the numbers of young Moroccans who have decided to migrate secretly to the European side through the deathboats.
The number of minors and young Moroccans crossing the Straits of Gibraltar is higher than in sub-Saharan Africa, according to the newspaper Elvaro de Ciota.
This wave of migration is worrying, not linked to the prevailing mood in the countryside as it was thought, but attributed to the economic crisis that is hitting young Moroccans who have found themselves without a future or any hope of improving their social status ... to choose the adventure of his life across the straits.
It is also interesting to note that clandestine immigration through boats has been documented on the phones of adventurous young men, as proof that they are proud of trying to emigrate to their motherland and look for livelihoods in Europe that may or may not come.
The newspaper concluded that large numbers of young people who chose the solution to the secret migration had been cut off, they did not reassure their families when they arrived on the other bank, and did not float their bodies on the shores of the Mediterranean, to remain unknown fate.
