About:
The National Archaeological Days are three days in the year that a great audience can meet all aspects that make Dutch archeology so fun.
The National Archaeological Days are the days when the public can get acquainted with all facets of archeology in the Netherlands. The days bring the past to life, tell the story of the past and be a unique opportunity to see what's hidden in the Dutch soil.
All and everyone
Everyone involved in Dutch archeology is invited to open the doors during that weekend and to bring the audience into the wonderful world of our beautiful profession or hobby. This can be done in a variety of forms: from workshop workshop to mooring day, from archaeological cycle to dressing party and theater performance or simply with an interesting lecture. With the enthusiasm and involvement that archeology characterizes this is very much possible. All of us put the archeology in the Netherlands on the map, let's join a large audience and grow new ambassadors.
The National Archaeological Days take place every year in the first weekend of the earliest autumn holiday. The week in which the autumn holiday takes place varies by region. North, Middle and South.
