Baiturrahman Great Mosque

Baiturrahman Great Mosque is a large mosque located in downtown Banda Aceh, Aceh province, Indonesia. This is very important for the people of Aceh as a symbol of Acehnese religion and culture, especially since it survived the devastating 2004 tsunami in its entirety.

The mosque was designed by an Italian architect and was built by the Dutch colonial government as a sign of reconciliation after the destruction of an old mosque during the Aceh war. The construction of the mosque began in 1879 and was completed in 1881. The mosque survived the great tsunami of 2004 that destroyed most of the city of Banda Aceh.

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman

Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman adalah sebuah masjid besar yang terletak di pusat kota Banda Aceh, provinsi Aceh, Indonesia. Ini sangat penting bagi rakyat Aceh sebagai simbol agama dan budaya Aceh, terutama karena ia selamat dari tsunami 2004 yang menghancurkan secara utuh.

Masjid ini dirancang oleh seorang arsitek Italia dan dibangun oleh pemerintah kolonial Belanda sebagai tanda rekonsiliasi setelah penghancuran sebuah masjid tua selama perang Aceh. Pembangunan masjid dimulai pada tahun 1879 dan selesai dibangun pada tahun 1881. Masjid tersebut selamat dari tsunami besar tahun 2004 yang menghancurkan sebagian besar wilayah kota Banda Aceh.
