Anyone here using Arch Linux? Here's a category for it.
I was distro-hopping for 10 years until I tried Arch Linux. It finished my hopping. I've been using it for 6 years on all my computers. Nowadays when I get a new computer I just wipe windows off permanently and put Arch on it. My wire and kids use it too :-)
I love Arch Linux. I think all computer power-users should try Linux, and especially Arch.
Running Arch on most of my devices for several years now, including desktop, labtop, server and Raspberry Pi with Kodi. It is amazing!
Arch Linux rocks - All my computers and servers run Arch.
Including my BitShares, Steem and Muse witness servers.
Thats nice! I've heard people say you shouldn't use Arch on production servers. I don't know why.
"pacman -S linux-lts" and only install what you need on your server.
"pacdiff" just in case
Easy!
Arch is nice but I'm a Debian Lover :-)
Is it because Arch is a moving target compared to Debian?
I don't mind the fact that it is a rolling release since I am on Debian Sid. It's maybe because I was a Debian contributor and I know well the Debian Tools/Packaging
Same here. Arch is really nice but I'm used to apt.
Have you tried "Mint"?
I have, with many flavours. I think it is a great distro for introducing anyone to Linux ; neat and user-friendly.
