The Goal of 2023

A few weeks after graduating high school in 1989, I moved out of my parent's house to live with some friends in town. Three years later, an opportunity to move to Arizona was offered, where I ended up living for three years. After that I moved back to my home town, and moved into a house in 1997 that was previously occupied by an aunt. The arrangement was for me to purchase the house. After making payments for six years, I moved out, and gave the house to my parents. I have not lived in another dwelling for more than a few years ever since, and have never owned a home of my own.

In November of 2015 I moved back to Arizona, and have lived here ever since. In 2018, an uncle purchased a 3/4 acre parcel of land in a residential area in proximity to where I was living at that time. We were going to build a house that would serve as a winter home for him, and I could live in it also as compensation for helping with the build. He later needed back surgery, and was no longer able to help with the build. He offered to sell me the property, but I was putting all my financial energy into HEX at the time.

Because HEX has helped me become independently wealthy, I have since purchased a motorhome, and recently returned from a two month stay in Pennsylvania. While there, I parked on my uncle's property, and spoke with him about the availability of the land, and if he would still sell it to me. As of today, after meeting with a home builder, he has agreed to the sale.

So, the ball is beginning to roll in regard to me owning my first house. Since getting involved with HEX, I have been able to retire from full time employment, buy my first brand new car, and a brand new motorhome. And now, starting after the first of the year, I will be having a house built to my personal specifications.

One of the reasons for giving up my house back in 2003 was due to the fact that that was what was required of me in order to arrive a complete knowledge of the truth. Mind you, I didn't know that's what would become of me in the wake of that move. That's just what happened. All it seemed for much of my life is that I would never come into possession of anything other than the absolute necessities to survive, but would never have anything that I could call my own other than someone else's hand-me-downs.

After leaving the builder's office this morning, and speaking to my uncle, I went to the property for the first time in about three years to walk over it, and see how much nature has reclaimed the land. It's almost overwhelming to consider that this is going to be mine, and will be a place to call home. I can only hope that everyone else's 2023 unfolds in a similar manner. Despite how chaotic, dysfunctional, and insane this world is, there is still so much to be thankful for in this life.

Of course, this undertaking will be the focus of the coming year, and may likely take priority over any other events that will be occurring unless life finds a way.
