No, I don't know any teams... My presence at those events was really random. So I don't know much about it. Just shoot :D
I use Premiere Pro CC and I color correct it there using lumetri color thing. I also use luts, to get that extra pop.

does the free version has some sort of a stabilisation feature?
yeah, I think so. The paid version lets you take out the noise of dark footage. It works well.
I paid for it, cause I wanted to get those extra features. But I believe it was only a few hundred dollars USD. so it wasn't too bad. The workflow is sweet cause it shows you on the canvas what is on the timelinee as you scrub it. so you can find parts of clips quickly.
