When you want to throw your art straight to the trash!
Yesterday I wrote a little bit about my art beginnings and how I reached a stage when I decided to take it a bit more seriously. After gaining enought skills and reaching the level of quite large collection of personal artworks, I started to feel stuck. Stuck and bored.
Am I painting always in the same way, same motifs, same colors? Not feeling the vibe anymore, so uninspired. I easily get bored if I do the same thing for a longer period of time, that is why I tried probably all the painting techniques, creative projects, and if I don't have a sense or evidence of growth, I get really frustrated.
That also happened in art, at one point I was moving nowhere. It is the moment you start painting and kind of want to put everything into the trash. I believe that art is expressing yourself and haven't been able to do that.
Since I am very interested in spirituality, consciousness, how to transform yourself into art, music or whatever is your soul-call to do, I was searching for a way to get through my block by learning more about the subject. I came across a book of Intuitive painting and got amazingly inspired. My art process evolved into something totally new and it was a great discovery. I also decided to take a class called Bloomtrue, a journey through making art from within by Flora Bowley. I started to make art every day for almost a year, got my art muscles going on and on, changed my style, started to be a better observant and noticing things around me in a new way.
Here are some glimpses of my process. I know, looks like a total mess, but I promise, makes much sense, later on :)
Are you interested to know more about different stages of this process?
Here is also one of my favorite videos. It kind of sums up the freedom of art. If you imagine yourself as a child, when you express freely and do whatever you feel. The time before they teach you at school how you draw a flower or tree and kill your imagination with grades.
Check it out and have a great weekend ;)
Looks good ! Keep going ; ) Painting is one of the best forms of inner expression. Especially in those times where we are not bound by our own classic and archaic rigour that limited the art of painting for so long...!
Mostly we limit ourselves, right? :) It's almost like a skill to let go and make things with free mind.
I like what you text... And I go and read forward :) I translate that's why I'm slow :))
Haha, well as long as you have the will to do it :)
And I did it :)) And this Video was fun :))
Good writeup! This seems like a brand new account so I'm sending you my support. Take this upvote and maybe upvote some of my stuff too!
As you are new to steemit, getting those big upvotes are gonna be hard so my advice would be to give @MinnowPowerUp a go as you can earn up to 30% more steem power than just powering up! It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I have also made this post where I explain my experience with the service in more depth and show how I earn over $1 a day in upvotes.
Nice bro
