I have always been drawn to iguanas, don't know why, no idea when it started but i do think it's because i love dragons so much that these guys looks like a distant cousins of theirs.
We are both sun worshippers and crazy about veggies, and they also (like myself) have a 3rd eye! Not only do iguanas have great vision and see colors, as well as UV light, sharply, but they also have an unusual photosensory organ on top of their heads called the pineal gland, or parietal eye. This structure has some anatomical features of a normal eye and is sensitive to light changes, as well as to movement. This “third eye” cannot form images but helps wild iguanas detect predators lurking above them.
how cool is that! i think they are amazing and super cool, would love to tell that to them one day. Big love to my baby for asking me to try to draw one of this mini dragons, i am totally hooked on them now!
