The Old Storyteller
is one of my favourite fairy-tale illustrations from the past years.
I wanted to create a children illustration which includes many different stories & fairy-tales, and also a few of my own creature designs.
Painted with watercolors, size is ca. 64 x 44 cm.

aaaaaah this makes me feel like i need to dig up my old fairy tale books that i had as a child * ___ * it was illustrated and it was beautiful, just like your picture here <3

It’s incredible how much detail is in this painting. I love all the characters hidden in the trees. Which story book character was your favorite to paint?
