Illustration Project Postmortem #1

in #art8 years ago (edited)

I've been an illustrator for over a decade, been illustrating in the gaming and content creator scene for the past 5+ years or so and this is an example of a project that will never see the light of day.

This client paid on the first project without a problem, was extremely responsive, plus it was a referral from another regular client,  you eventually put your guard down, you want to focus on the work instead of pesky payment terms, you assume this client is good for it, but he's not.

The worst part of a client not paying you, is when they vanish without a trace, they stop responding and don't even bother using the work you've made for them. (even paying clients sometimes never use your work)

Hope you enjoy this "Bump to #1" button that would of just gathered dust in the folder and the insight into some things people don't typically talk about publicly.

PS: Happy to hear suggestions on other type of posts people may be interested, i haven't posted on my Youtube channel in over a year, if you have good worthwhile tutorials you'd like to see, suggest away.
