Hello Fellow Steemians!

in #art8 years ago

I am not sure if we are allowed to post art works that contain partail nudity? This is a painting i did years ago that was sold in a gallery in Santa Barbara, California. Oil on Linen 36x24. Does anybody know about rules for art/ artists/ nudity?Back Study2.jpg
I would love to switch over to Steemit from Instagram as my main posting place, so i am just gathering information.

i would love to hear from other artists about thier experiences on Steemit!

Hello @artistpainting

There are no rules for art/ artists. In general there are not many rules at all.
There are a rule for nudity and that is that you use the tag "nsfw" (Not Safe For Work) as your first tag. But when you are an artist it is not always demanded that you do, the painting in this post is fine without. The rule is mainly for porn and sex.

I hope it helped and the painting is pleasing to my eyes.
I would love to see more of your work.

PS. There is no censorship on Steemit, it is not even possible to do that because of the blockchain. The ownership of your post and everything in it is yours forever.

AAaaaand that is why I fucking love it here!!!! BE FREE CREATIVE BEASTES OF STEEMIT! Be free!

Hi @artistpainting! I'm an artist by myself, and propably like you, heard about steemit and wanted to give it a try. I find your question very interesting and I'm glad I stumbled over yours, although it's already some months ago. Love the warm colors in your painting and especially the structur of your brushwork. Looking forward to read and see more!
