I guess this line is like that idea "you can't love someone else if you don't love yourself first." I know I've had situations where I wanted to be a friend to somebody when I was having a lot of my own issues, and it was hard to relate to anyone through that fog of insecurity and self doubt. So I wrote a song about it. You can listen to it below :)
