"I came here for this."

I've been living in Chiang Mai, Thailand for a month now. A good friend—the kind that's earned implicit trust—emailed a coercive recommendation that I jaunt to the MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum before heading onward to my next destination; Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.

Driving my motorbike 45-minutes outside of the city and paying ฿100 baht (~$3.30 USD) for entry into the museum, I discovered I was the only patron and was stoked for a reflective experience.

As I began settling into the space, I found a curiously colored abstract piece. I admired its message for a moment before walking down the wall to learn it's title, medium, and origin.
