RE: PENCIL: My Evolution Over The Years

in #art5 years ago

Great recap & storytelling. Looks like we’re the same age so a lot of your early influences and drawings bring me a nostalgic smile!

I had a piece of Violator fan art printed in the letter page of Spawn... my crowning achievement! Y’know there’s a new film in the works that I have high hopes for... and amazingly Spawn is still going strong after 300+ issues.

The drawing you can’t really recall I instantly recognized! You were clearly digging Whilce Portacio’s Wetworks at the time! Hope this brings a shock of nostalgia to you too...

And lastly, I believe that the SteemPeak website interface does have tools to choose a different image for your post thumbnail. I’d have to double check that though... I haven’t played around with it much.

iMage comics were so much better than Marvel or DC back then. Wow, you really did bring back some nostalgic memories. I feel like the 90s never really ended. I like to joke and say the year is 1990 29. Dancing wise it’s true. I remember when I was in the military in San Diego back in 2002, my friend was 32, but looked 19. When we all started to dance and he started snapping his fingers and dancing like it was 1985, EVERYBODY was looking at him funny. Not today. I’m 40 in a few months and still go clubbing. Maybe it’s just because no one can dance in Laos or Thailand, but I’m the best dancer. I never thought an old man could still be cool when I was young. We got lucky because the hip hop style dancing we did back in junior high is still working today. Maybe it wont work in the USA. I see my teenage daughter and her friends look at me like it’s a crime for trying to be cool or young. It’s something only the under 25s are allowed to do or something. Who cares? I had more fun in my 30s than I did on my 20s.
