RE: Weekly Update #2 - Code and Life
It's good to make some sort of a diary here as then it also motivates you to work harder so I find it great that you publish such posts. Well, it might be a little too long but still pleasant to read :)
Anytime you learn something you don't waste your time. You do invest your time in learning and developing yourself. This is very important to realize. I see that you do some progress so you're going in the right direction.
Money is a difficult topic but in my opinion you need money not to care about money. If you don't have money you can't do freely what you love to do because all those bills still need to be paid. If you have money you don't have such worries and can focus on what you really love to do in your life. I hope that you will get to the stage that you'll be able to do it :)
I wish you all the luck in achieving your dreams!
Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend!
I do need to work on making them shorter, that's for sure, but I start writing sometimes and I'm so focused that I forget about everything. Only when I'm done I realize how much I've been writing :)
Related to wasted time, even today I did that. I managed to create another section for the landing page I'm working on in around an hour, but then I kinda spent two hours being stuck on one thing that I couldn't make the way I wanted.
But as you said, as long as I learn something, that time is not wasted, and I did learn quite a lot of things while being "stuck" today, so that's pretty good.
And yes, money is indeed a difficult topic. Some people see it as a necessity, others as a way to waste your life chasing something you'll never have enough of. I think money is just part of our life, no matter how much we hate it. Our world functions with money, and having them is a lot better than not having any at all.
Having money these days means having freedom, at least when it comes to time. You don't have to only do what you need to do, and instead you can focus on what you like, which could easily make you happy.
So I guess money is something I really need to focus on in the near future. I need to learn how to make some, then invest it and increase my initial investments. If I'm really lucky, and I learn how to handle money properly, maybe I'll even be able to have enough to dedicate most of my time to art in a few years.
But until then, there's still a lot of work to be done, and a lot of code to be written.
Thank you for reading and commenting :)
