What lies beneath the surface? The complete "Abstract Mind" painting series...

in #art6 years ago

INTROSPECTION

This series of 9 paintings was born out of the idea to portray the abstract and indescribable aspect of our psyche. All the tiny bits that we are made out of that we can't see if we just look at a person. Our society is so focused at the surface of things and slowly forgets about the magic realm of inner workings. Not just with human beings but with all things.

Some of you might have seen some of these already, but I thought it would be nice to show them all together. They work very well as a series and should be shown as one. I hope you enjoy them.

I am super curious to know which face talks the most to you...looking forward to read about that! Have a great week everyone...<3

"We are becoming able to see the pursuit of external power for what it is and the futility of trying to escape the pain of powerlessness by changing the world. When we look inward, not outward, we can dismantle the parts of our personalities that have controlled us for so long - such as anger, jealousy, vindictiveness, superiority, inferiority."

Good to see you again. Very interesting series!

Haha...yes glad to be back :-)

Flora Organically must be mine. I am drawn to the colors. I like the peaceful looking energy about her face and head, and the red streak for her throat - it takes some stronger energy to get the words out.

for some reason the one that caught most of my intention is the first one: "Goodby my sweet Darkness"

Nice to see you and your artwork back on Steemit sir! =)
