Crafts: Mini Lumberjack's Axe made from Popsicle stick

Hello Steemians! I'm drawingwithflare.

I'm back and today I made a miniature Lumberjack's axe. It's about 2 inches tall and 1 1/5 inch in width (counting the total length of the tilted handle)

In this craft, I used 80cw sandpaper, glue and superglue, utility knife, vice, pencil and eraser, a few pieces of wood, Silver paint, and ofcourse the popsicle sticks.

So first, I draw the template of the axe's head on a piece of paper.

After that, I cut a piece of popsicle in half and there I glued and traced the templates.

And then, I cut the pieces out the bases. I also removed the paper template I glued earlier.

And then, using a hacksaw and a utility knife, I cut the pieces out and sanded the sides off.

Then, I cut notches on both of the blades and glued them together.

Then I sanded them off.

And then, I sanded the blade to where it's just about a few millimetres thick.

Then, I sharpened the blade's edge.

And then, I made the handle's template. I made it from 2×1 popsicle base and cut it out with a hacksaw.

Then, I sanded it smooth and also rounded it off for better grip.

And then, I painted the axe head silver.

Then, using a Kuretake brown brushpen, I coloured the handle dark brown. I'm kinda going for a rosewood handle for this a axe.

And then I glued the handle to the head.

Then using a clear nail polish, I coated it with a bit of protection since I used poster paint which is completely susceptible to water.

Then I cut a small stump using a hacksaw.

So I cut a small groove for the axe head to fit in. I made it a little big so I used the sawdust from earlier and put a little bit of glue to fix my mistake. I used the sawdust from the same material so it didn't really looked any different from the wood.

After that, I glued the axe to the stump. I wasn't gonna fasten it in the first place but it's currently the smallest of my miniature creations and I don't wanna lose it all of a sudden.

And that's it done! If you wanna see more, please show your support by upvoting this post and maybe resteeming it for your peers to see. If you're interested in what I do, don't be afraid to follow me and see more of what I can, and what I do. See yah!
