🎨💡Narcissus - Homework inspired on a myth.

in #art6 years ago (edited)

Here I come from death to bring you a project that I owed you from long ago. I apologize myself for being absent for a long time, I think that I have discouraged myself after so many crazy things happened around here; Even so, I have to do something to get up.

It's funny that I appear a month later to show the last part of a post i started almost 3 months ago (if not more).

This was a work asked by my ex-master Mr. University. He wanted us to make a poster about Greek mythologies. Only requirement: It should not be a literal interpretation.

I did Narciso; who doesn't know him, here the myth: D.

Inspiration.

Narcissus (when you are too high of yourself)

330px-Narcissus-Caravaggio_(1594-96)_edited.jpg

He was proud, in that he disdained those who loved him, causing some to commit suicide to prove their unrelenting devotion to his striking beauty. Nemesis noticed this behavior and attracted Narcissus to a pool, where he saw his own reflection in the water and fell deeply in love with it, not realizing it was merely an image. Unable to leave the allure of his reflection in the pool and having developed an unrequited love Narcissus stared into his reflection until he withered away. His body disappears and all that is left is a narcissus flower.

I think that from here you can get many interpretations ... but just like me they chose the option of the peacock at the end.

Process:

Whoever visits the old post (because at this point I do not think they remember it on their own) will know that I made the drawing first by hand and then pass it to digital medium.
Here the link if you want to check it as well

The digital lineart. I liked it a lot :D

I do not really remember much of the process, and during these months I have varied and improved the way of doing my works.

I also just realized that I lost the process ... upps. what I have saved is a version where i already started the details. My apologies.
