How To Draw Cat Fur By EdgarsArt

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Since couple of days ago i received a request to make a post concentrating more on how to draw animal fur, i decided to start with a little bit more detailed post on Cat's Hair.
I included three photos and three stages where you can clearly see the development of the face and how i am getting that fur more realistic. The whole process is taking hours upon hours, so if you want to have realistic fur, you will have to spend many many hours. It can not be done in 10 ir 30 minutes.
You can draw one layer in about 30 minutes, but it will look just like the first photo. The main purpose is to get that realism into the drawing.
Also to shade i am using brush. In the last photo you can see the brushed result already. You do not have to be careful there, you just have to smudge everything with a brush, the whole face that you have drawn.
This particular drawing i did with 2b pencil. It is soft enough too and smudges quite nicely.

Wow! Enormous skills! also I know how hard it is to paint with charcoil, you can't imagine how dirty and stained my attempts have always been despite trying hard to keep it clean. This looks like photography.

Thank you:) Yes it is hard indeed! A lot of training has to be put in

Awesome, mate!!! =) Patience is being rewarded here xD
