This art print work belong to Transmigration series, and it talks about the figure of birds as a metaphore of human spirit and soul. Drained talks specificaly about the death, hopeless, fear and pain that we are living every day in my country, Venezuela, so in this print, the bird is upside down, dead but hanging of a map of Venezuela, That´s mean we`re hanging from the suffering, the blood of all people who dies everyday in between hungry, crisis and crimen.
What technique I used?
Techniquely speaking, this art print was do with Embossing Collage and Ink on a cotton paper. The embossing consist in transference of reliefs printed without ink and with a hard marking of the textures of the plate over the paper.
