This is one of my latest pieces titled
‘Un Momento En Color’ which means ‘A Moment In Color’
I used acrylic paint on a flat canvas board.
Like most of my paintings this just sparked itself up one night. It was about 2 a.m when a friend of mine called me and asked to hangout, usually I tend to stay up all night making art or working on music so I said yes and we headed out to a 24 hour restaurant.
I always take my art supplies with me everywhere I go just in case I get flashes of ideas/visions.
While at the restaurant I started to sketch a woman from a reference photo I had saved in my phone. I changed it up to fit the style that I was going for, here is the process:

By the end of our art sesh at this restaurant this is what the drawing looked like:

The next day I began to bring the painting to life by painting her skin tone and clothing.

Once I finished painting her I filled in the rest of the background with vibrant colors, creating a strong contrast.

And after a few more details and painting the outer frame this is how it turned out:
