Jaime, wow! Getting lost in the details - me too. It's funny you say that about drawing the face of your character and that deciding how far you take it. I had never thought about that before - but that's how it works for me as well. If the face is not working, the drawing is lost. The claws! So glad to see this - it's such a beautiful drawing.

you know, I'm not actually sure. He's not quite as enamored with my work as I think he should be ;)

Funny thing about that - they never are. My daughter is learning to draw by copying images on Google. She wouldn't ask me how to draw anything if her life depended on it. :)

Thanks! and on that note - I really responded to the girl you drew for the lips post. Something about her eyes... I remember thinking that she seemed particularly alive. The strange thing is how some characters just "work" and others just never will.
