Taking my first workshop ever !!!

in #art5 years ago

Okay!! I am really excited to share this thing with you guys. This Sunday, I had the first workshop of mine ever. HUGE !! Isn't it ?? It was such an overwhelming experience for me.

At first, I was nervous as hell. I even doubted by decision to take a workshop. Though I was excited as heaven too, but For a while I thought, "Is it a good idea?" But then the excitement within me told me to go for it.

I decided on taking a doodle workshop. The idea was to teach the basic of doodle to people. It was more of a fun workshop , to connect with people and test my own mentoring skills. It was a Collab workshop with @aishwarya . She took a workshop on watercolour art. We both were riding in the same boat.

Since we decided to go for a workshop at the very last moment, we didn't spread the word about it that much. So there were actually no RSVPs for us. And we thought there's nobody coming to it but we still sat at the workshop place and waited for people to arrive.

Half hour went by and we there was no body until we saw two guest coming to workshop point. We were so happy to see them. We didn't care how many more will come. Those two guest were the people we wanted. At least we didn't left hopeless.

One of them were there for doodle and other for watercolour. That made it all even perfect. So we started with the workshop. I taught him the basic of doodle. The patterns, about doodle, why and how we do it. And then we started to create some doodle art.

We started with writing the initials of the name and then doodling it. His name starts with 's' and hence we did a big 's" and doodled it. Then we created some patterns and did some doodling to it.

It was not about taking the workshop but more about how to take it. There were lot of things that we learned here and that we have to do/not do when taking a workshop.

It was an awesome time, we had. It was amazing to work with @aishwarya. She is great at watercolours and she took the workshop so efficiently that even I would love to learn all this from her. I think we are ready for the next one now !
