It's been a long time since I last came here... Too much work, as usual. But I found a few hours last week to draw this for the Character Design Challenge. Today, I'll show you the step by step of this illustration. The theme was "Mongolian eagle hunter".

Ca fait une éternité que je n'étais pas venue poster de nouveaux steps by steps... Trop de travail! Mais je suis heureuse d'avoir pu passer quelques heures la semaine passée sur cette illu pour le Character Design Challenge de ce mois. Aujourd'hui, je vais vous en montrer le step by step. Le thème était "Mongolian eagle hunter".**

I began with a quick sketch with Photoshop, something very simple and added all the details on different layers.
J'ai démarré d'un croquis très rapide, juste une base pour la suite. J'ai ajouté les détails sur différents calques en "décalquant" au fur et à mesure. J'ai fait cette illu directement sur Photoshop, sans passer par un crayonné...
Then I began the colors, always my favorite part of the job. I first put flat colors, to have a general color range, and then added the details, the face, the volumes of the body, the fur, and the eagle.... And finally, adde a background!
Je suis ensuite passée à la mise en couleur, mon étape préférée :-)
J'ai commencé par poser des aplats de couleur, pour donner le ton général, J'ai ensuite démarré le visage et les volumes du corps, de la fourrure et de l'aigle. Puis j'ai ajouté un peu de décor..
