Censorship

in #art7 years ago

I've sat back questioning what would be the next painting I would share with you guys. This painting hangs in a nonchalant place on my wall of art. Maybe to a place no one realizes what it is or what it is about. I always act with intention. I've chosen the place and slowly wait for someone to see this piece. With not so obvious typography spelling out Censorship and black tape placed as a black censor bar I made this piece in direct response for being told I had to take down "young child" at my first gallery space. It is an interactive piece where the viewer is meant to rip off the black tape censoring the painting underneath. Yet, as it has hung in its place no one has truly seen it for what it is.

OOO... very interesting painting. I can see how the details are easily overlooked.
