🌸 New Painting!

I painted something for our language class. A Plakat! It's a picture with a bit of information about the place.

"A placard" basically.
Plakat is in German.
Plakat ist auf Deutsch.

My classmate and I chose Korea. And I remember one picture I saw of Korea (not this one) and I remember seeing cherry blossoms. So, I also wanted to portray that part of their culture, so I chose a picture which showcases the landscape and architecture. Very very beautiful. 🌸

So as to lessen the pictures, I made a video of how I painted the cherry blossoms.

1. Light base tones
2. Dabs of pink
3. Layers of darker shades
4. Inking
5. Wet on wet painting for the sky and ground

Ok it's upside down. Sorry

🌸I made only a very rough sketch of the lines where the tree and house should be, more like just drawing a guide or outline.

Then I followed painting it with a thin tip brush and then for the larger wet on wet techniques I used a round brush.

Final output

Here's a scan of my painting...

I added some contrast to this picture to counter the white washed out look of the scan.

I added the sky last however I was not able to take a video since my phone memory went kaputt! Haha, No, it was just lacking storage.

The clouds there are actually paper, no paint parts. If you're wondering how I made it like that, I just painted it first with the lightest colors then added layers of darker blue over wet on wet layers and it mixed well.
