Yes, it’s a very worrisome time. Many people can pivot to online and then there are those who cannot, like serving staff and bartenders. I’m very worried for those people, for the jobless rates, the stability of the economy and the likelihood that we will see a lot more homeless. Especially here in Minnesota where the weather is so extreme.

So sorry to hear about the big event being canceled. That is happening all over the world. This crisis will really hit the hospitality industry — hotels, desk staff, housekeeping, etc. But your post gave me hope. It made me think about how indomitable the human spirit is, and how inventive people are at recreating themselves and doing whatever they need to do to put a roof over their heads and food on the table.
