KNOWING WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW

We do not know what Life on earth would be like if we honoured the connectedness which birthed us. We have no model, no precedent, for the natural human condition. We have no idea how our living in alignment with nature would affect the rest of Life.

But we can look to the natural world and see the genius it reflects - its endless vibrancy, spontaneity, symbiosis, authenticity, passion and integrity. Free of the corrupting lens of human conditioning, the natural world is a mirror in which we can see our intended natural state reflected - see interconnectedness in action.

A LIVING WONDER

Life continuously readjusts in favour of harmony and balance. Every opportunity to correct the system in the direction of that which is life-serving is seized and maximised. There is no dishonesty, no guile, in nature.

Life exists to be lived. Life IS intelligence; is a dynamic, responsive, self-healing, self-serving, endlessly creative process.

This intelligence moves through each of us, too, regardless of whether we honour or feel it. It is our essential nature, which is modelled to us by the natural world.

OUR NATURAL STATE

The state of natural wisdom is our birthright. We are it, and it is us. The moment we realise our interdependent nature, the world of man can no longer fool us into living separate, unfeeling, disconnected lives. We are Life Itself, conscious now of itself and its potential.

Once this truth is realised, we automatically align with the creative processes of Life, creating a new paradigm. We begin to function as cells in the body of a new humanity. Connected, self-aware and as individual as the snowflakes, flowers and feathers which Life creates with such abandon, we each have a unique contribution to make to the wonder of it all.

'THE WONDER OF IT ALL'

Completed on December 11th 2019, this little sweetheart measures a rather random 20.75cm x 9.1cm and may, therefore, require a handmade frame. It started out life as a piece to tear up and collage with, but at some point, I realised that was definitely NOT happening! Because I was intending to tear-and-paste, it's on a lighter weight paper than I would ordinarily use, which has led to buckling and rippling. I know that some collectors would see this as an 'issue', but I absolutely love it - it makes the piece even more unique and unrepeatable, to my mind. I guess I may press it a little bit before releasing it into the wild, but I think this brush baby is 'perfectly imperfect'. What do you think - are ripples and buckling a 'problem', or do they add to the character of original artwork for you?

Your art is wonderful! I browsed through a few of your other posts and I love what I saw.

I think unfortunately we are being our natural selves or species; the problem may be that we of the human species have vices and busy minds that tend toward destructiveness a bit too often. Our intelligence, and ability to contrive can make us even more uncaring and irresponsible.

This should be addressed somehow, but it may take a miracle.

Thank you, @free-reign - I really appreciate your enthusiasm and encouragement!

I think that the behaviours you describe are 'normalised' rather than 'natural' per se. Having raised a human baby through to teenagehood, I've had the privilege of observing an unconditioned human first hand, and neither my own nor anybody else's offspring that I've spent time with has tendencies that can't be wisely guided in the direction of what is life-serving and beautiful, rather than becoming uncaring and irresponsible.

However, with the situation at large as it now stands, I agree that the rehabilitation of humanity will require a miracle: the miracle of our focussed intent, I hope...

The individual can be redeemed and/or kept healthy with the right actions and interactions, but the unconsciousness of the masses and the manipulative, destructive systems that control them are an entirely different matter. They need to see better models since we humans are primed to learn via the 'model imperative'. And THAT not-so-small task falls to those of us who 'know better'...

Because we DO know now, with a high degree of accuracy, what causes trauma (which is what leads to destructive tendencies) and how to prevent and heal it (which leads to interconnectedness and co-operation).

With that being the case, I'd posit that making the dissemination and implementation of that information a priority will springboard miracles and leaps in consciousness and human evolution.

Actually, I'd say that it already is, despite outward appearances to the contrary... 💚💚💚

Thanks again kindly for stopping by, and for your support of my work. I am most grateful 💚💚💚

Totally agree with you on the normalized aspect. It takes a truly inquisitive mind today, to break out of that normalized state you mention; even if it's just momentarily. I raised a daughter from birth, and by myself from 6 years old on. Today she's middle age, and with a solid footing.

Peer pressure affected her and I feared where that might take her, but she shares my thoughts and values as an adult, and I never pressured her to do so. I did something right, and I'm thankful.

Redemption is always possible, IMO. Sometimes it's not likely, but it's still possible until the end. I'm looking forward to the time when the "miracles" are taking place all over the world. Thanks for your reply and have a great day!

It does take a high degree of curiosity and spiritedness to see through the web of deceit, you are right, and even more to stay with that inquiry. And there will always be pitfalls and distractions along the way - like the peer pressure your daughter encountered and dallied with - but with strong models and the direct experience of our human capacity for love, connection, trust and kindness, redemption always awaits...As you've found with your daughter, doing the 'right' things, living the 'right' values, is the crucial tipping point: modelling, sharing, BEING the qualities we hold dear.

Here's to the day when miracles are the new 'normal', my friend 🙌 😊 🙏

With love, Jay 💜💜💜

I love the work! It reminds me of an underwater reef.

I often think that our self-awareness is what causes us to be out of balance with nature. We're acutely aware of our own mortality and, as a result, of the necessity of resources to keep life going. I truly believe that it is these unequally available resource that causes conflict. If we all had enough resources to be happy, I suspect we'd see far fewer conflict.

Thank you for your support and this thoughtful, thought-provoking comment, @wwwiebe. I concur 100% with your observations. It all begins right there, with the artificially-imposed existence of lack which we encounter upon arrival, at birth, doesn't it? I've written extensively on this subject before, and will no doubt do so again (especially now that you've kicked the ball to me, haha) 💚

So lost in your abstract illustration, trying to absorb concept of Wonder of it all and still perfectly imperfect.
