I'm really thrilled to be part of the Steemit community again. The last months my back was a mess and I lost all energy to paint and blog. This Water-Art project is one of the first projects now when I'm back - just what I need!

I think of visual art as three parts, at least. First there is theory about how to build pictures that work cross the different medium I use. Then there is the artistic freedom of interpreting the world and being true to your own expression. Last there is the craftsmanship of handling the techniques and medium you work in. Watercolor has been one of the mediums I have used for some time. There is still a lot of work to be done before I feel I can create freely. Still watercolor is a wonderful painting medium and I will truly love every moment of exploring it more with the rest of the Water-Art team - and hopefully with you!

Watercolor is one of the techniques I use but my level is similar in oil, acrylic, digital painting and ink, pencil and charcoal drawing. For now I explore all of them at once because they fill different purposes. In the future I might find a true favorite.

So let's do this together! Water-Art will go through the basics and work our way towards really advanced paintings. This is a really good chance for you to both teach and learn, interact and get paid studying - only at Steemit ;)

Subject I especially look forward to is
  • How to paint horses in watercolor
  • How to paint water
  • What are the main problems in the watercolor technique - and how do you solve them
  • How to paint trees
  • How to paint skin
  • How to paint hyper realistic
  • How to make the painting paint it self
  • I am open to suggestion so if you want to see a certain theme, just tell me!

Except being a watercolor painter I do lots of other stuff. I have a social work degree and five years at University. I also have a coaching ICF master degree and is currently working half time as a coach. I love nature, free skiing and exercising although I can't do it for the moment with my back problems. I'm also into improvisation theater and think everyone should try it - so much fun! So I hope this will be a wonderful journey - peace - over and out!

And some of my watercolor paintings - I don't have any favorite subject - I love to surprise myself

Hi @jnart, I have been fans of @jungwatercolor and @marty-arts ever since I joined Steemit, and it's great to see artists coming together to collaborate and create something of value to the community. I am looking forward to the series and with any luck be able to pick up a thing or two to improve my own skills :)

Thank you @plushzilla, we will do our best :)

That is wonderful to hear. Yeah Marty and Jung are great artist and a lot more consistent in what kind of work they produce. Look forward to see some of your work too!

I am not much of an artist and there is definitely not consistency in the work that I produce :D That's the problem with being an artist that makes origami from flower petals :p

Great thing with art is, that you can always come back to it. Sometimes you just have to fine some real inspiration.

Looking forward to what you will come up with.

Very interesting project. I'm a beginner watercolorist and while I'm not very good at it, it will be interesting to watch what you are doing together.
