My Sunflower Art Painting in Acrylics

Sun is the brightest thing we’ve ever seen in our eyes, but we can’t be near to it and we can’t touch it but for me sunflowers are the most beautiful, as bright as the sun we can have here on earth. I have so much love for flowers but my symbolism for happiness would be sun flower.

I was never good at painting, but here I am making this blog to show you how I painted one of my favorite flower in the whole world.

THE THINGS THAT I USED ARE

Acrylic paints – Yellow, brown, light green, dark green, white
Thick point pen

HERE’S HOW I DID IT

I started painting the middle of the flower using the brown paint. I made 3 circles (it’s up to you on how much flowers you would make) I dabbed a yellow paint on the middle to make it a little bit lighter.

For the petals, I used the brightest yellow shade I have (I didn’t washed the brush I used for the brown so that the two colors will blend when I painted the petals.

For the leaves I used the dark green first to paint the entire number of leaves then I used the light green to make the leaves lighter. I also used brown again and mixed with white and painted on the middle of the petals.

Then lastly, I made my finishing touches by putting white paints on the flowers and leaves to make it realistic and glossy. (You can also create your own way of finishing touches) Then, I made an outline using a thick point pen to define the petals of the sunflower.

And that’s it! That is how I made my sunflower painting in acrylics
