Painting in the forest

Painting outdoors is a completely different experience from traditional painting at home. For some time I wanted to paint a painting in the forest. I imagined that I would sit on a blanket, surrounded by nature, singing birds and paint what I would see in front of me.

Yesterday, when I was walking in the woods, I saw such a round moss pattern growing on a tree. And I felt a desire to paint something circular on paper. I had a painting set, notebook with white pages, water and watercolors.

I spread the blanket, sat under a tree and started painting what had occurred to me at that moment.

It was spontaneous, intuitive painting. However, I did not paint what I saw in front of me, but what was inside of me and demanded externalization.

The next colors wanted to be expressed in the form of a spot in my picture.

I really like this spontaneous creative process, I think it can help diffuse intense emotions that we have in ourselves.

At the end I felt the desire to crush the leaves that lay next to me and place them at the bottom of the picture. I used what was unexpectedly available, a piece of nature and created such an unusual painting.
