Artist Lego day of the dead sculptures

Think of Lego and many think of building a model of Batman's hideout or constructing the "Force Awakens" Jakku set.

Not UK artist David Hughes. When he builds something out of the bricks, it's a homage to the spiritual holiday Day of the Dead instead of a pop culture reference.

Day of the Dead, also called Dia de los Muertos, is celebrated Nov. 1 and 2 in Mexico, other Latin American countries and parts of the US to honor deceased family members and friends.
