When posting content that either is owned by someone else or inspired by someone else’s works, it is proper to list the said source in your post with a link to the original.

Failing to do so is considered plagiarism, and could result in being blacklisted by curation groups or even flagged.

Examples include:

  • Using another artist's original drawing/painting/digital art as a “study” or inspiration without linking the original and giving credit to the original artist.
  • Linking to someone else’s YouTube video with no source.
  • Using someone else’s photos or text without linking to the original source etc.

Please make sure you do so in the future, thank you.

🎉 Congratulations @lucydyer! 👏, your amazing Artwork has been selected to be featured in my curation post.

I also sponsored you with 3 @steembasicincome shares :)

I hope you know that she didn't create the entire thing from scratch, right? Here is the Original

She just manipulated, which is great in itself, but she mentions it no where so any person new to her work who stumbles along would assume she created the entire piece of art herself. This is not the case.

Just letting you know.

Wow! honored to be featured with other great artist! thank you :-)

Your works are out of this world. So unique.
That's the kind of quality that I gladly call art.

Disagree. I thought she made this entire piece of art herself, as one would rightly assume when you come across posted artwork that doesn't claim otherwise or cite any other sources.

All she had to do was mention it is a manipulation. No where does it say anything like that.

I completely agree with the downvotes, nowhere in this post does it say that you did not complete the entire thing from scratch.

I would have assumed you created this from scratch! And there are actually people whining about the label of plagiarism, including you?! Source of Original image

Doesn't matter if people know you or know that your work is manipulations. This is the first time I've come across your work so I would have thought this was yours, especially considering it starts off with "New Art!"

I guess it's a good thing you're leaving - just goes to show you're too lazy to care about doing things properly here, you know, like citing the work..
Just like you're too lazy to create your own art..
