Art Crawling in Laguna Beach to See My Sister's Featured Painting

in #art7 years ago (edited)

We finished up our vacation tonight with a trip to Laguna Beach for an excellent sunset dinner at The Cliff restaurant. @corinnestokes and I had some cocktails and a fabulous meal with an incredible sunset view.

Isn't she gorgeous?

Our kids were with us as well (though my picture of Devon came out all fuzzy).

Aria really wanted to take a selfie together, so here we are.

Towards the end our of meal we met up with my sister and her family who got a table right behind us.

The main reason for coming to Laguna Beach tonight was the first Thursday of the month art crawl. My sister Kara made this crawl special because her painting was featured in the window at her art gallery collective. She did the green painting on the right:

You can see more of her work (please like her page!) on Facebook at Kara Elizabeth Designs. She's heard me talk about Steemit for over a year and a half now (she created @karaelizabeth in August of 2016), and she mentioned tonight she might be getting involved here this year. Here's hoping. :)

As part of the art crawl they have a free trolly going up and down Pacific Coast Highway to visit all the many, many galleries. Since we were with all the kids (both my sisters and our own), we didn't stay too long. There were so many amazing galleries. I want to come back!

Devon was telling his cousin all about his favorite iPhone game.

My brother-in-law Cale was taking fun photos with his twin boys and Aria.

Corinne and Kara were sitting behind me for a trolly selfie.

The all-wood interior added to the fun memories of the night.

It's been a wonderful vacation with surfing, sailing, more surfing, skating, miniature golf, and more. Thankfully my foot feels fine after stepping on a stingray a few days ago. I want to stay longer in this beautiful weather because we only have cold to look forward to when we get home:

Yeah.

Not fun.

Oh well. As always, we'll make the most of it. At least being indoors and getting back to my normal routine will give me a little more time to focus on the latest Steemit news. :)

I hope you're having a great start of the year so far.

Also, is it just me, or are more and more people starting to take cryptocurrency seriously? It's going to be a huge year, and it's just getting started!

Steem On!
