💧 WATER-ART - learn to paint SIMPLE FLOWERS - tutorial + video

in #art7 years ago

Hello Steemians, we have already started with painting tutorials in our water-art project. They are easy for beginners too, and some of them really quick and playful. Today I am going to show you how to paint some simple flowers without using pencil at the beginning.

You will need

  • watercolors
  • round brushes (bigger and smaller I used 6 and 12)
  • A5 watercolor paper

The process

I painted according to a photo, so first I took a look at it to see where the flowers should be placed. I used bigger brush to paint the base. It is better to add more water, so you can add some more color after. The leafs are made the same way. Then you have to wait till it dries. Then start with a new layer, with more color. Now you are working on a central part of the flowers. Paint some more petals and also finish the leaf with darker parts. Wait again and when the painting is dry paint the dots inside the flowers. You can also use wet clear brush to spread a few dots in a small petals. And thats it!

Once you have tried to paint according to a photo you can try to paint flowers on your own - different colors, sizes, composition...

You can watch the whole process in a video.
