LINGERING LOVE IN evasive skies
Craving hungry troubled winds
The cosmos
Created from Star dust
Earth is where we lie
In heavenly bodies we look
For
macrocosms
microcosms
Nature
Life
To the spheres
To the stars above
To All the universes
Above
Below
Enigmatic erotic skies
Touch
Our hearts
Our minds
With their wonder
With their mystery.
The evolution of the piece was fascinating to watch.. the general shape I had conceptualised but the decision to add yellow & reddish pink inks came in the creation process. I think I debated for about 5 minutes whether to go ahead with adding those colours & then just as I was about to add the smallest amount the cup just took hold & a big splash of it jumped out screaming YES! I’m meant to be here!
The way the colours merged & entwined with one another was just beautiful.. adding a spritz of water to encourage that flow here & there..
And then, “Lingering love in enigmatic skies”
was born.
Wonderful, again, @marysemciver! The colors are so beautiful. These make me think immediately of deep space photo's by the Hubble Telescope, pictures of Earth from a Space Shuttle, coral reefs full of life... only better :-) And your poem is a perfect partner for these visions too.

Thank you so much! The poem actually came to me as I was writing about the painting.. I was looking for certain descriptive words & found myself penning a poem!
