Abstract Art – We need change! Some thoughts on wealth inequality.
A canvas depicting the world’s wealth inequality with the use of wax because just the way wealth distribution can seem fluid at first, representing opportunity for all, then it tends to harden and stick in place just like wax. I feel like a lot of people can't fathom how ridiculous our wealth inequality is so I want to put it into perspective. Apparently, the world’s accumulated wealth currently lies at 223 Trillion US dollars, that is a lot of money and how it is distributed is disgusting. Another shocking way to put it is that the richest 300 people have the same amount of money as the poorest 3 Billion people.
80 percent of us own 6 percent of the world’s wealth, represented by the spots orbiting the center, while 19 percent of humanity has 51 percent of the wealth (represented by the more densely populated spots around the center of the canvas) and the remaining 1 percent has 43 percent of all the money in circulation, represented by the sticky clump in the middle.
