Water Girl - Art + Steps
Hello! How is it going?
This is my new drawing. It's based on one of my old sketches. I wanted to draw something simple and cute so I remembered about this sketch.
My new image is much simplier than the old one but I did not want to draw big and detailed art. Someday I'll finish the old sketch in the way it should be painted but not today.
And I would like to show you steps of the drawing process. I hope it will be useful and/or interesting for you ^_^
I started with very simple sketch to define the basic composition and then I redrew the sketch to the detailed one.
Time to basic colors:
Then I changed the colors a little to make them not so bright and poisonous:
OK, she needed face, didn't she?
Here you can see the basic shape of her hand:
After that I started to draw shadows and lights and other details. Skin:
Hair:
Eyes:
Background plants:
Hand:
Big water leaf. I changed its size and moved it.
At this step I chose a color for background and drew water splashes:
Next step was flower. I don't know what the flower it could be. Some kind of water lily or lotus maybe?
Reflections in the water was added here.
And the final step! I changed size of the background flower and painted it, and moved the girl a little to make composition better. Ta-da!
That's all! Thank you for reading! If you have questions feel free to ask ^_^
Uncomplicated article. I learned a lot of new things. I signed up and voted. I will be glad to mutual subscription))))
it seems to me that is a lotus flower :) Very nice artwork, very cute, it would be great to see a gif of the process.
