Blush when falling in love 🎨
These days I've been a little in love, and I feel that I blush a lot, then everything I feel I express in drawings, and that's why this drawing was born and the curiosity about when people blush.
Why do we blush?
How many times have you been ashamed and your face has turned red? Blushing is a normal response to an unforeseen situation, where a behavior we had or a situation causes us a feeling of shame, making us blush. The difference with other actions of our body, is that it is involuntary, and in most cases unwanted.
The blushing is controlled by the Sympathetic Nervous System, which is involuntary. When we are ashamed, the body releases adrenaline, which acts as a natural stimulant generating a series of responses. The breathing is accelerated and the rhythm of the heart increases, the pupils dilate and the digestion becomes slower.
Blushing is a strange process
Adrenaline causes blood vessels to dilate to allow blood flow and oxygen delivery. Blushing has to do with this process. The veins in the face receive the signal of a chemical transmitter that allows the adrenaline to fulfill its task. In this way the veins dilate allowing more blood to pass from the common.
Generally, the veins do not respond to adrenaline, however, if those of our face do when we blush. This process can also occur when we drink a lot of alcohol or during sexual activity.
