Poem - - The Christmas Tree
Covered up in bright white snow,
Among the mist it fades away
As a frozen ghost, so slow..
Deep in sadness it is glazing
How she's striking through the hills
Winter boldly is horse-riding
Winter boldly carries swords..
Frivolous he grounds his stand:
''Oh in vain you frozen witch,
Cold and wind and snow you preach,
Preaching days without a sun.
Oh in vain you freeze the earth,
Killing flowers killing hives
Sending death across the wind
Sending hunger with the wolves.
Oh in vain unholy breath
Freezing water in the rivers
Wiping paths and paths and roads
Wiping all and seeding death.
Oh in vain you cruel wrath
Making longer the dark nights
Laughing of the human's work,
Shortening the day of light.
Oh in vain you put the burden
All the snow you're throwing in,
Though it's winter or it's summer,
I'll forever remain green!''
