My coffee sprite

I have a coffee sprite...

Living behind my coffee pot in the sugar bowl

he's friend with the house brounie

and often invites him over for tea

When he's not socialising he's cleaning up after me

On the top of his head is a wonderful mop of hair

the colour of a mocha-choca-latte-caramel-swirl-foamed-chino

he uses it for mopping up my spills

sponging up the coffee with his lovely coffee coloured curls

I am a messy drinker I leave coffee stains wherever I go

from coffee rings on the table to drips on the floor

I'm just a very lucky lady that when it comes to cleaning

there is nothing my coffee sprite loves more.

Thanks for sharing

So pretty and creative. I'm sure it must have been fun to create it, because this totally left an smile in my face. Also, I think it's interesting, sometimes I see these beautiful watercolors paintings or other works that use expensive materials and I feel like I have to use them to make art that will make people impressed. But then, I find delicate pieces like this one and I remember that it's the heart that you put into them what matters :)

Thank you for your lovely drawing.

I have made lots of drawings using coffee and tea before- i've even used it in life drawings. Your paintings smells nice after too!

Hi @opheliafu! I admit that it is the first time I see something like that and it seems very clever.

I'm a coffee lover and I have played with the lines that coffee leaves on the table, but I never imagined that it could be poured on paper. In addition, the writing that accompanies it besides being funny, is very well constructed. It means that it was not just another cup of coffee, but one that you enjoyed a lot (and I enjoyed it too when I read to you).

Great work!

Thank you for those kind words.
Hopefully next time you reach for the coffee you'll think about your coffee sprite that might be living in the cupboard - it is within that thought where the true art resides, not the paper :D

We have Brownies here, they are always taking little things or moving things around...but no coffee sprites. Maybe if I drip coffee around a bit one will come...
Where do they like to sleep?

Oh a naughty brownie- you must make sure you leave it gifts of food.
My coffee sprite resides at the back of my cupboard where i keep my coffee, tea and cups. i think they like the smell of anything containing caffeine ;D
Thank you for you upvote @elew

Hmm, it must be the Jello packets next to the coffee throwing them off the scent here. Time to rearrange the cupboard. Maybe we will make a little bed with a coffee ground mattress to set behind the coffee and tea and see if one comes ;)

Thank you for the picture of your handsome sprite :)

I've heard they like the odd chocolate biscuit too!

perfect poem and a perfect drawing that accompanies it. I loved the mood created by the coffee spot. the colors and stains are great. congratulations :)

I thought it would be a light and humorous piece. Do you have a helpful household sprite or brounie/brownie or maybe a mischievous one? :D
Thank you for the upvote too!

I wish the upvote worked! I did not earn you anything :(

That doesn't matter, it is the fact that you voted.

There is a saying "You can find inspiration in anything, and if you can't... look again". That was my first thought after when I read it and saw the drawing. There are really beautiful and creative, I love it :)
You also reminded me to be happy for small things.

Have a nice day!

Thank you @legna- a great saying!

The pad that you used here reminds me of my schools days. I used to have a pad like this with paint and pieces of paper pasted all over it.

When it comes to being a messy drinker i am an expert in this. I don't remember how many shirts of mine have tea stains on it.

My drawing board does get very messy, but i like the build up of paint and doodles, it adds character :D
Thanks for your comments, and i hope you get those tea stains out!

omg ... very creative. I confess that I am addicted to coffee, but it never crossed my mind to do something like that while having breakfast. hahaha I'll try something like that, do you think?

Maybe some sort of breakfast pastry type of art!?!

Wow... Nice art work, you are such a good artist and you are so creative.. Great job.. Love it..

-I will resteem and upvote this post..
