Drawing a man in Agbada (Native African wear)
Today I’d like to share this drawing of a man in an African attire done with graphite and Charcoal on strathmore paper. The agbada is a classy attire that sometimes signifies wealth or good living among the Yoruba people of Nigeria and truly this man in this image is one of such people!
The drawing was quite challenging because of the size of the clothes and all the rumples/folds but it was worth it in the end. Is was a refreshing experience as I had not done any major project with graphite and charcoal in a while. I have gravitated more and more towards working with colors in the course of this year.
What do you think? Please share your thoughts and leave a thumbs up before leaving. Thanks!
