First Post!

Whats up everyone? I just found out about this and I'm pretty lost.

What value can I bring to the community? I create images that are appealing to look at.

Sharing my most recent sketchbook page.

Cheers!

nice art, you have skills

Thanks @craig-grant , though I'm not so sure about skills but rather a lifelong commitment of relentless practice :)

Welcome @psychedelictacos! Would you mind mentioning Steemit on your twitter real quick? https://twitter.com/@taco_designs

Sometimes people like to steal identities for financial rewards, so this is a good way of verification. Thank you!

Just posted this on @steemit an alternative social network/blogging site combined with cryptocurrency. Follow me th… twitter.com/i/web/status/7…

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.

you account is now verified on steemit, an #introducemyself would help your account also gain some $$, I am now following you too, great art work. A step by step post on some art would do well. Any questions let me or mostly anyone here know, it is a super community!

Awesome, thank you for taking the time to do that.

Psychedelic! Love it, especially the cat with sunglasses :) You'll be doing well here with such quality art!

@herverisson Thank you! the Cool Cat was fun to make. I do love psychedelia aesthetic - glad you like.

That is beautiful. You can put the image directly in the post though. There is a post on how to use Markdown which I did that you might find helpful: https://steemit.com/steemit/@thecryptofiend/markdown-basics-for-beginners

Not citing sources of copied works is plagiarism and frowned upon by the community.

Sharing content and add value by:

Using a few sentences from your source in “quotes.” Use HTML tags or Markdown.
Linking to your source
Include your own original thoughts and ideas on what you have shared.
Repeated plagiarized posts are considered spam. Spam is discouraged by the community, and may result in action from the cheetah bot.

Thank You!

@vano Thanks for the heads up!

Just found out about this community and couldn't wait to share - I shall make a proper introduction post soon.

Indeed the work is mine, I had been on a break from drawing for some weeks and wanted to get back to it! Finished up this page last weekend at a coffee shop.

About the piece: I wanted to create some characters and test my patience with the page. Using patterns to force myself not to rush. I practice mindfulness by filling pages with patterns (and sometimes words!)

Fantastic. It would be useful for you to also do a verification in your post. Here is a post that explains how and why.

@thecryptofiend aha! thanks again for the useful tips! I shall make a proper introduction post to verify.

You can do it anonymously too. I think the information is in the same post so you don't have to reveal your real identity to everyone if you don't want to. Sadly a lot of people tried to scam in the beginning with using other people's art so it has become a thing now.

@thecryptofiend sure thing! : https://twitter.com/taco_designs/status/792147330606567424

I appreciate the community taking extra precaution for scammers and people stealing others content.

That sketch is so dope! Welcome to steemit!

@dajohns1420 thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be posting my work from now on. If you want to check it out already you can see it here : www.instagram.com/taco_designs

@psychadelictacos Great work! Welcome to Steemit. Excited to see more from you!

@jessamynorchard Thanks! Stay tuned today for a proper #introducemyself its going to be sweet.

In addition to what @pfunk said, I've also got a couple of newbie guides to help you navigate and understand the platform, with more to come. This is the link to my latest one on how to understand your wallet but there are links to other posts as well - like the one for newbie artists. Good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creations. :)

@merej99 Wow. I am so thankful for that post. Thanks for the info! Though I still feel lost I believe I now have a road map to atleast follow. Stay tuned for some cool stuff!
