Water Color Drawing for Magazine - Illustration using Photo Colors and Black Pen - Serial 'Atithi' - Episode 4

Dear Steemians,

I am back after a short break as I was totally engaged with setting up a new fashion boutique for my wife.

Today I am posting the process of the water color Illustration which is done for the fourth episode of the serial 'Atithi' being published in 'TARANGA' weekly magazine. 

EPISODE - 4

The elderly man became very close to the family and kids started loving him. His story telling skills and the interesting stories from epics became hot favorite for kids. 

Veda also became fan of the elderly man and used to sit in front of him to listen to various topics including philosophy, social behavior etc.

As he was the fatherly figure, she started to call him 'doddappa' which means brother of father in local language.

Mediums used:

  • Cartrdige Paper 120 gsm
  • Graphite Pencil
  • Black Pilot Pen - 0.5 mm 
  • Camlin Photo Colors - Portrait Pink, Warm Brown, Foliage Green, Scarlet, Dark Blue, Light Yellow, Deep Yellow and Stone Grey 
  • Brush with Round Bristles
  • Image Editing: Photoshop

The basic sketch is done with 2B Pencil 

The color for the face and costume is put using brush with round bristles. 

Once the colors are dried the drawing is finished using black pilot pen and color pens
