Thrift Store Finds II Van Gogh Paintings Reproductions

in #art7 years ago

I found these two very nice Vincent Van Gogh repros at my local thrift store for only .99 cents each!

I have always liked Van Gogh and already had a copy of Starry Night, but I did not have Irisis.

Both of these paintings were done by Van Gogh in 1889 while he was in the Saint-Paul Asylum, in Saint-Remy.

These particular reproductions are color prints in 8" X 10" frames. The visible area of the pictures inside the matting is 6-3/4" X 4-3/4". Unfortunately the matting covers part of the pictures, which I do not like. However, for a total of $1.98 for both I guess I got a pretty good deal. They will hang on my wall quite nicely!

If you are a fan of Van Gogh and would like your own beautiful piece or if you just want to see more of his work, the best resource I know of is Amazon, they have cheap repros like mine here and museum-quality collector art pieces...and everything in-between. This affiliate link here will take you directly to Amazon's "Van Gogh Collection" :

Disclosure: The link above takes you to Amazon.com and if you were to actually make a purchase there I would get a tiny referral fee or "commission".
All funds earned will of course be converted into Steem and powered up by me, Scott Rogers.

Thanks for reading!

So beautiful

Indeed, after looking at more of his art from the link in the post, I want more, nicer copies of his amazing work!

Hey @scottrogers63, nice post! I've developed a better appreciation for art and photos, so it's nice to see good content here on Steemit! Cheers

Thanks, I was hoping there was someone out there who would like these - I would have paid alot more for them!

It is very cool, I take great pleasure in "picking" thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, etc.
